Incredible musicians united

The vocalist Von Hesseling, bassist Sean Yseult (White Zombie) and guitarist Dava She Wolf (Cycle Sluts From Hell) invited two excellent musicians, Dave Catching (Eagles of Death Metal) and Gene Trautmann (Drag News, Queens of the Stone Age) to combine their talents and to join the band Star & Dagger.
The affinity and chemistry of those 5 band mates are going around stages in America and now arrived at the British soil, to present their pre-release album Tomorrowland Blues (still with no release date confirmed), which was entirely recorded at the Rancho de La Luna.
The guitarist Dava She Wolf referred their London gig as a “jam”, and the night was a gathering of friends at the legendary Underworld in Camden Town. The band played 11 songs and added two more on the encore, so they could give back the warm welcome of the londoners fans.
The strength in the bluesy and soft voice of the singer Von Hesseling fits perfectly with the powerful and punchy style drums of Gene and furious bass of Sean. The heavy and bluesy guitar of Dava synched perfectly with the psychedelic rock of Dave’s guitar, resulting into a powerhouse guitar duo. The band, fans of Black Sabbath, reigns supreme, as they take the stage playing the best combination of their own songs, a mix of rock, blues and metal, and yes, they did deliver with grit, passion and ‘in your face’ energy.
Star & Dagger fans will have to wait a little bit more for the album release, but they can still order online the EP In My Blood at the Last Hurrah Record website.
The band sold limited editions of their EP In My Blood at the merch stand in their shows. It contains three songs; “In My Blood”, “Stories” and “Out of Focus”, and the CD Kill! Kill! exclusive sale at their shows, contains the same tracks with the extra hit “Your Mama Was A Grifter”.
At the end of the show, the band welcomed the fans at the merch tent for a chat, photos and signing posters, vinyl and cds, always with a friendly approach.
We’ve talked with the band in the backstage before the show started and they told us they’re very excited about the new album and that they really want to go touring in Brazil and South America. Keep your eyes on TMDQA!, because next week we will be posting the video of the interview with subtitles in Portuguese.
