Apesar de ser considerado por muitos um gênero super recente, o Emo tem uma história mais longa do que as pessoas podem imaginar. Na verdade, é possível traçar as origens do gênero lá para os anos 80!
Pensando nisso e em celebrar o legado desse estilo que cresceu, teve um boom, gerou controvérsia, voltou pro underground e está voltando a ser popular em 2022, o The Ringer criou uma lista super especial em que escolhe a melhor música Emo de cada ano a partir de 1985, ano considerado pioneiro para o gênero.
